Coronation Celebrations

On Sunday 7th May 2023 Bulkeley and Ridley residents past and present gathered to celebrate the coronation of his royal Majesty King Charles III and Queen Camilla.We were blessed with fine weather all day and much fun was had by all well into the evening.

Prizes for the 'Coronation Cake' and 'Best Crown' were awarded by Councillor Stan Davies.

Parish Councillor Idina Hastings also presented Councillor Stan Davies with a bench donated by residents of Bulkeley and Ridley in grateful recognition of his 40 years of service as our Ward Councillor.

As well as celebration we also reflected on the sad loss of the Kings mother Queen Elizabeth II last year. As a mark of respect and remembrance of her reign the Parish Council has named the village playing field ‘The Queen Elizabeth II Playing Field’. A new sign made by Parish Councillor Richard Frisk has been attached to the notice board near the field entrance. Thank you Richard.
