Planning applications are approved or rejected by Cheshire East Borough Council after comments first from the Parish Council. Comments on planning applications should be brief and concise and in accordance with the Guide to Commenting on Planning Applications issued by the Borough Council on its website. The website lists the most common "material considerations" taken into account by the Council when making a decision and also lists some of the concerns that cannot be taken into account as they are not planning issues.
The Borough Council is legally obliged to take into account the representations received from neighbours and other interested parties when deciding all planning applications. The Council encourages local residents to have their say in planning matters, either directly or through the Parish Council.
If you want any guidance on any planning matter, be it a proposed planning application or concerns about an existing application, please discuss the issues with your local Borough Councillor.
