As you are hopefully aware, there are 2 defibrillators installed in Bulkeley and Ridley. In Ridley on the external wall of Skip Brown Motors on the A49 and in Bulkeley inside the Telephone Box on Cholmondeley Lane.
These devices could play an important part in treating someone who requires urgent treatment for a cardiac arrest condition. Used at the appropriate time and in the correct manner they can provide effective treatment to significantly improving survival chances of a patient in such a case.
If like many of us, you have little experience of such devices and would have any anxiety in using one in a “real-life” situation, then this informative talk will help dispel any nervousness that you may have. It will equip you with the confidence and knowledge to act if you ever find yourself in the situation where the use of one might be required.
Questions such as “When do I use a defibrillator?” or “How do I use a defibrillator?” or “Can I harm someone if I use a defibrillator?”. These questions will be answered in addition to giving reassurance that anyone can use a defibrillator. Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) are designed for public use, providing voice and visual prompts that guide anyone, even without medical training.
