Rural Mobility Fund to plan and deliver a Demand Responsive Transport (DRT) service within Cheshire East

Trial of a new, app-based transport service around South-West Nantwich – Have your say!

Cheshire East Council has received funding from the Department for Transport (DfT) as part of the Rural Mobility Fund to plan and deliver a Demand Responsive Transport (DRT) service within Cheshire East, that will operate over a three-year trial period.

DRT services are flexible services that respond to local demand and can change routing and scheduling depending on when and where services are needed. As a result, DRT services are not constrained by a fixed route or stopping pattern and are able to cater to the individual needs of the user.
